WRCR/Rockford College Alumni

Citing a need for space in lower Burpee Center, the college relocated WRCR to three rooms in the Lang Health Center.
The WRCR staff moved the station in January of 1985. The radio station was at the far end of the building as seen from this view. There was an outside stairway at the end of the building for staff access. The station remained there until it ceased operation at the end of the 1994 Spring semester. The Lang location is known as WRCR 4.0.

Unfortunately, we have not located may images of the Lang studios. The 10 pictures in this gallery are all we have located so far. A number of these images were scanned from yearbook and newspaper images. This was early on in the data collection process before we had developed a good image scanning process from screened images. If you have better copies of these images and can scan them, please contact the webmaster at the link below. If you have copies of yearbooks or newspapers you would be willing to loan for scanning, please contact the webmaster. All originals will be returned to you. We're also looking for WRCR audio tapes.
