David Shelley Hammer was WRCR's Chief Engineer during the 1966-67 academic year. He's pictured here working on the board in the upper Burpee Center studios. He was also an announcer who hosted "Shelley's Showcase". He spent almost 10 years in part-time studies at Rockford. He died in the fall of 1966. After his death the radio station staff considered changing the call lettrers to WDSH.
